Education is the foundation of empowerment and progress. Hyve India’s CSR goals include ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education and promote lifelong learning opportunities for all. The Company believes that Education is a foundational right and an absolute key to progress in life, hence, having access to education is massively important for under-privileged kids.
Towards this, Hyve India partnered with Dream a Difference in its philanthropic campaign for FY 2022-23, 'Donate to Educate'. The campaign aims to create a lasting impact on the underprivileged kids who are aspiring students and have either no family support or have financial constraints. This also aligns with Indian government initiatives towards ‘Padhega India, Tabhi to Badhega India’ (‘India will study, then only India will progress’).
An orphanage ‘Manav Mandir Gurukul’ run by ‘Manav Mandir Mission Trust’ was identified for this purpose. The orphanage provides shelter to 180 children. However, to fund their school education, the Trust is dependent on arbitrary donations on monthly basis. At times, when Trust is not able to identify the donor / arrange funds for school fee; unfortunately some of these children have to drop their school in mid-session due to the financial crunch. Hyve India and Dream a Difference identified 10 such students and contributed towards their school fees for the on-going academic year.
Further, essential stationery supplies were also donated to support education of all of the 180 children living in the orphanage. The stationery supplies were donated as per the requirements of stages for primary, secondary and senior secondary classes. Supplies would help them to enhance their skills for cursive writing, arts & crafts, project making etc.
School Fees paid for Total 10 inspiring students studying in G.L.T. Saraswati Bal Mandir Sr. Secondary School in Classes IX and X.
Items donated:
Class I-V: Pencils, Sharpener, Eraser, Cursive Writing books, and Hindi Writing books
Class VI-VIII: Project Files, Ruled Sheets, Colored Sheets, Highlighters, Pens, and Registers/Notebooks
Class IX-XIII: Drawing files, Transparent board, Highlighters, Pens, and Registers/Notebooks
Total number of beneficiaries: 180 students
The Campaign fulfills the following Sustainable Development Goals:
Goal no. 4 (Quality Education)
Goal no. 5 (Gender Equality)
Goal no. 10 (Reduced Inequalities)
Hyve wishes to continue its support towards education of unprivileged children through more such initiatives in the future.
